Officially yes. And make sure you go 55 in 55. I’m not a tax expert.

on the other hand when you file next year its going to have the right one and then you run a risk of something happening
I work in payroll. I work with a client on W2 corrections. G@d d@mn did your payroll people f*ck you good.
If someone didn’t get seriously yelled at over this they should. I thought i fu(ked up when I had the wrong date on a paycheck and we had to rerun the checks.

You can send an amended return, not resubmit the whole thing.

You can file an amendment to your taxes. Or if you are expecting a refund and the new W-2 does not affect this (meaning you owe with it) you can file it next year…as long as they owe you they aren’t very b itchy.
