Does your income exceed your personal exeption and standard deduction combined? Roughly 8500 for single person with no dependents. Even if you are not required to file you may still want to file inorder to get the earned income tax credit and possibly get back any and all of your federal withholdings for the year.
as i interpret “file” it is the act of turning your tax return into the irs.you should know after you complete your tax forms.
