How many days a year do you need to reside in the state of Maine before you have to file Maine state taxes? I don’t own property, have any licenses, work or go to school in Maine.

Your best bet is to go on the Maine.gov site and find the answer to your question, or at the very least a place to call for more info. Good Luck
I do think u need to be here at least six months but am not sure, check out the site.

Taken from the State of Maine website:
If you are a part-year resident of Maine, you must pay tax on all of your income for the part of the year you were a Maine resident, and you must also pay tax on any income derived from Maine sources during the part of the year you were a nonresident.
Additionally:
A “resident” taxpayer is a person who is:
domiciled in Maine (a “permanent legal resident”), or
a statutory resident (see page 4).
A “nonresident” taxpayer is an individual who earns income in Maine but who is not a Maine resident for income tax purposes.
