Doesnt it usually involve the taxes, that was being paid on the state level or something??

  1. Each section has a different purpose. One is to record how much you made before anything was taken out, another is for how much social security was taken, medicare, any insurance you need etc. Then it also shows how much you really took home. Depending on which state you are from it could be listed in a different way. Usually a state will post a guide to understanding your return on their website. That’s the best place to look for exact answers.
