H&R Bloc would be my last choice. The benefits of using a software package is the accuracy of it's calculations. Also if there are possibilities of carrying forward some deductions rather then using them in the current year, the software will tell you. As well as keeping track of this things. Well, barely human really... ;) TurboTax has an interview process that jogs your mind and offers things you may not have thought of. You can always switch to manual filling of the forms. At the very least, TurboTax saves paper, since you don't have to fill the whole return out again if you make a mistake that trickles up... 20 years of programming Not everyone has the brain or the interest in doing one’s own research.
