I have never filed any tax returns myself not on line not even offline.How easy is if decided to use Tax act software?Will I be able to file both State and Fedreal Returns for free?Confused here.Please let me know if anyone have detailed answer.Thank you.
Forgot to mention that I am in New Jersey.

I’m an idiot – and I found TaxAct really easy.
I also double checked my work at TurboTax.com
Took me only about 20 minutes to do my taxes.
Federal is free to efile for everyone – some people have to pay for state.
If you do, just get the state form, fill it out, and mail it in. State is super easy.

It is so easy! You just follow their program. I like Turbo Tax better though…and It cost $29 total to file, Kansas charges us! Your state may not?!

if you have never done any tax return you probably will be confused about any tax program altho TaxAct is not difficult
you need to get the 1040 PKg and Publication 17 from IRS to help you
however this being your first, you might look at the 1040EZ on http://www.irs.gov and if you an input the information asked for there, you might be able to swing it
