Where do I file Federal returns for Tax Year 2006?

I live in ILLINOIS.
Fresno, CA or Kansas City, MO?
The IRS website states that for Tax year 2010, Fed returns for individuals (living in ILL) should file it to Fresno, CA, but my Turbo Tax software for Tax Year 2006 said Kansas City, MO

Send them to Fresno.
I believe that the IRS closed the Kansas City processing center a couple of years ago.

In 2006 Illinois filers sent it to Kansas City.

DO NOT MAIL IT AT ALL.
If the return shows a refund or there is any self employment tax due HAND CARRY IT TO YOUR NEAREST IRS OFFICE because the statute of limitations for filing a refund claim or getting self-employment income credit expires April 15. Take a copy and get it date stamped as proof of filing.

This is a simple case of following the instructions the IRS gave you. Since you haven’t filed your
2006 return, I am pretty sure you have received several letters from the IRS informing you of this issue.
In the letter, the IRS specifically will tell you where to send your 2006 returns.
