you need a licence to do taxes other than those disable in your own family ,if your got your bonifides try quicken 2005 home and small biz you have buy new programs for each filing. seach e-bay software auction you can find real good prices you wouldn’t believe how good some deals from overstocks etc.
Turbo Tax can handle more than 5 tax returns, as I know from experience. I am making the switch to ProSeries this year, which is geared more to preparing a larger amount of returns professionally.
The two most popular among people that I know in the business of doing tax preparation are Lacerte and Pro-Series. Both are Intuit products as is Turbo-Tax. Both have packages that range in price according to your needs. I understand that you can easily upgrade if you discover that the package your purchased is not going to meet your needs for the season. Pro Series is closer in function to Turbo-Tax in that it uses the interview mode and forms mode. I did not see the interview mode as an option with Lacerte but they seem to have better customer tracking and reports. Both allow you to order a trail version before purchasing.
The one I use (best in my opinion) is Creative Solutions’ Ultratax.
